| The Honda NU50'83
(NU50I'83 in Iowa) Urban Express (sold in
1983) was almost identical to the previous year. Two colors were available:
Special Silver Metallic (with gray stripes) and black with brown stripes.
The starting system used only a kick starter (unlike the Deluxe model
NU50M described below). The engine was a 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder
lubricated by oil injection. It had an automatic transmission and belt drive.

Interestingly the U.S. sold two different models: one for the state of Iowa
and another for the rest of the states. The serial number for the Iowa bikes
